IT’S OVER
YOU ARE SAFE NOW
EMDR Therapy for Adults in Florida, Texas, and Vermont.
When a Moment Changes Everything
Something happened—recently or long ago—that shook you to your core.
You’ve tried everything to distract yourself, to move on, to stop thinking about it… but the memories keep showing up uninvited. Sometimes, it even feels like it’s happening all over again.
Your body stays on high alert.
You feel unsafe—even in your own skin.
And while others may say, “Just let it go,” you wonder why you can’t.
You ask yourself, “What’s wrong with me?”
The truth? Nothing is wrong with you.
Your brain is doing its best to protect you—it just got stuck in survival mode.
The impact of trauma can shift how you see yourself, others, and the world. It can affect your sleep, mood, work, and relationships. Sometimes, you're angry. Sometimes, you're numb. Sometimes, you're just trying to make it through the day.
But here’s the hope: it doesn’t have to stay this way.
Healing Through EMDR Therapy
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients safely process and release single-incident traumas—those “stuck” memories that keep playing on repeat. EMDR is a research-backed, powerful method that helps the brain reprocess traumatic events so they no longer feel overwhelming, triggering, or present.
Imagine feeling 100 times lighter as that memory fades into the background.
Picture reconnecting with yourself and the people you love—free from that constant tension.
Envision feeling safe again—body, mind, and heart.
You don’t have to go through this alone. I’ll walk beside you, step by step, offering a safe, steady space as we work together toward relief.
A Note About My EMDR Focus
I work with single-event traumas or older traumatic memories that haven’t resolved. These might include accidents, medical emergencies, a loss, or a recent assault or event that deeply shook your sense of safety.
I do not currently work with complex trauma or long-term, repeated traumatic exposure through EMDR. Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) often requires a more specialized, phased treatment approach. If you’re navigating this kind of experience, I offer Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as an alternative evidence-based path for healing.
You deserve to feel whole again.
Let’s take the next step—together.
What is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)?
EMDR is an evidence-based, brain-based therapy designed to help people heal from the emotional distress caused by traumatic or overwhelming life experiences.
When something deeply upsetting happens, and the brain is unable to fully process it, the memory can become “stuck.” Instead of being stored like a typical memory, it may remain unprocessed—frozen in time—with the same emotions, body sensations, and beliefs attached. That’s why present-day situations can suddenly trigger intense reactions that feel bigger than the moment—they’re pulling from unresolved past experiences.
EMDR helps the brain complete that processing.
Using bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements, tapping, or sounds), EMDR activates both sides of the brain while you recall a troubling memory. This process supports the brain’s natural healing abilities, helping the memory shift from “hot and present” to “cold and resolved.” Over time, the memory loses its emotional intensity and becomes easier to live with—without needing to retell or relive the details.
