About Me
Hi, I'm Veronica!
I was born in Brazil, lived in Chile, and eventually made my way to the U.S.; an experience that shaped my appreciation for culture, language, and the many ways people make sense of their lives.
At home, you’ll hear a blend of English, Spanish, and Portuguese—sometimes all in the same sentence. (It’s a language smoothie. My brain seems to like it that way.)
I’ve always had an active, curious mind. Shutting it off hasn’t come easily—which may be why sleep became a challenge for me early in life and remained so for many years. Like many people I work with, I tried a wide range of strategies before learning about truly evidence-based, sustainable approaches.
Those experiences now inform my work as a therapist, particularly in helping adults understand and respond differently to patterns that keep them stuck—whether that shows up in sleep, stress, or trauma-related symptoms.
Outside of work, I’m a homebody at heart. I love spending time in my backyard, watching birds and butterflies, and letting my nervous system settle. (You’ll probably hear at least one cat story along the way.)
Cooking is not my strong suit—my husband happily handles that—but cleaning? Oddly satisfying.
Two places that continue to ground and inspire me are Rio de Janeiro, Brazil—my hometown—and Torres del Paine, Chile, where I experienced one of the most meaningful hikes of my life.
Whether we’re working on sleep difficulties or trauma recovery, I aim to bring compassion, steadiness, and a bit of lightness into the room. Therapy can be serious work—and it can also feel human, supportive, and even moments of ease along the way.
